Serato Scratch Live users have support to download and use Serato Remote - Serato’s first official App for iPad®.

With Scratch Live 2.5 you can throw away your control CDs and connect your Pioneer CDJ-2000nexus directly to your laptop.

Tightly mapped software controls give you low latency control over performance features in Scratch Live.

Control your Scratch Live library with your CDJ-2000nexus. See full color album artwork, waveform, cue/loop points and other important track information on the CDJ-2000nexus color display.

MIDI Output Lighting

Now supported with Scratch Live 2.5 MIDI Output Lighting enables the LEDs on your MIDI controller to light up when used with Scratch Live.

We've teamed up with our hardware partners to provide you with some presets for some of the coolest controllers out there.

Download the sample content from within the Scratch Live 2.5 download and the samples will install straight to your Serato library as a crate.

Scratch Live 2.5 Bug Fixes

Alongside these key features Scratch Live 2.5 also includes bug fixes to continue the unparalleled level of stability and performance that Serato software is known for.

Some examples of the bug fixes are:

• Mixtape .als recordings now work with Ableton Live 9.
• Fixed a bug where the beatgrid lock wasn't being saved and loaded to/from the file; it was only being saved to the database.
• The Sixty-Eight record source is now correctly loaded from preferences.
• Fixed a bug where the CDJ-350 was sending both MIDI and HID messages which meant it could possibly fire two different Scratch Live events at the same time.
• Fixed a bug where the DJFX deck assignments wouldn't save to preferences if going from being 'on' initially, to 'off'.

You can check the minimum required specifications to install and run Serato DJ, as well as download the appropriate installation files on the Serato DJ downloads page.

Mac OS X 

1. Head to the Serato DJ Downloads page and choose "Download Serato DJ for Mac".
2. Verify your account if not already logged into Serato.com, as per the example below, and click "Continue";
3. You should see a blue banner near the top of your web browser page indicating the SeratoDJ---.dmg file has started downloading, as per the example below. Once this is down, locate the downloaded file and double-click it to start the process.
4. Read the terms and conditions that appear, and click "Agree" when you're ready;
5. Drag and drop the Serato DJ icon onto your 'Applications' folder icon to begin the installation
   

Windows 

1. Head to the Serato DJ Downloads page and choose "Download Serato DJ for Win".
2. Verify your account if not already logged into Serato.com, as per the example below, and click "Continue";
3. You should see a blue banner near the top of your web browser page indicating the SeratoDJ---.zip file has started downloading, as per the example below.
   
4. The Windows installer for Serato DJ comes in a 'archived' zip file, which can be opened with Windows' Explorer, which has archive capabilities, or your favourite third-party archive manager, such as Winzip or 7zip.
   Note : some anti-virus or anti-spyware software may incorrectly flag the Serato DJ exe as potentially dangerous, and delete it before extraction from the archive is completed. If this occurs, or you get any error pertaining to missing files during the installation, temporarily disable your anti-virus or anti-spyware software, and try step 3 again.
   
   • If using the Windows Explorer method, you can double-click the downloaded zip file, and you'll see the SeratoDJ executable - as per the example below;
   
   • If using a third-party archive manager, such as Winzip or 7zip, you can simply right-click, and choose from the context sensitive menu options, and select "Extract Here", which will extract the Serato DJ executable file into the folder where you chose to download the original file;
   
5. Double-click the resulting Serato DJ exe file from the archive, after extracting or opening the archive to initiate the setup process for Serato DJ. You will be met with the terms and conditions, which you can read, then check the "I agree to the license terms and conditions" tick box, and click "Install";
