Wise Folder Hider
Wise Folder Hider is a great little app that has been designed to password-protect your folders and files, so that prying eyes are unable to read or modify them. The app provides enhanced security for files and folders on your Windows PC, blocking any unauthorized access and securing your privacy.
Where Wise Folder Hider comes into it’s own, is the great way it offers users an optional additional higher level of security. You can set a second password for each of the files and folders hidden by Wise Folder Hider. This is great for those who have high security concerns due to having confidential files.
The app’s interface is easy to use as it is very intuitive. As an additional bonus, Wise Folder Hider gives you the option whilst installing it to add ‘Hide File/Folder with Wise Folder Hider’ to the context menu. You are then able to hide files or folders directly by right-clicking them without launching the app.
Where the app differs from similar software is that when it comes to modifying a hidden file or folder, you don’t have to unhide it, edit it, and then hide it again. A single click of the ‘Open’ button will open the hidden file or folder, so that it becomes visible to you. You can then edit or modify it as if it has been unhidden. When you have completed editing, you just close the program and the file or folder will become hidden again automatically. This useful feature comes in handy when you edit frequently used hidden files.

it just hides folders on your drive. it doesn't offer cloud storage.

Simple interface, easy to learn, easy to use.
Cons
It refuses to hide certain folders with a blank error message. And this is not even consistent. It should state the error reason, and provide specs as to what can and cannot be hidden. It doesn't.
Also, vulnerable to people who still know Windows Command Prompt stuff.

FREE! The only free folder hide and password tool I could find that did not have some trial trick, like trial time limit, folder limit, preset trial password, no usb flash drive capability, I went through 3 or 4 others, Folder Lock, My Lockbox, etc. what a pain, they say they are free, you have to install then find out there is some catch! Have not found any trouble with this, and the graphics are fine, not too primitive, and not too fancy.
Cons
Not true encryption, just a barrier to casual snooping. Not truly portable, you have to install it on any system you are using, if you want to access USB flash drive. So, if you do not have administrative rights you won't be able to access your locked files.
Summary
If you just want a simple password and folder hide privacy tool, save yourself a lot of hassle and go for this one, it seems to do the trick just the same as the other ones that jerk you around with bait and switch tricks, then hit you with a $40 price tag.

Double password setting for login and the hidden folders/files,when I input the passwords for the hidden file and open file, it is visible and needn't to move it to Wise Folder Hider after stopping running the program, the visible file will return to the hidden files list automatically.

Hides folders, like it is supposed to do.

Windows can hide folders without additional software.
Summary
In Windows, you can right click a folder, click Properties, then check the Hidden option. The folder will disappear. To make it reappear, basically enable Show Hidden Folders in Folder Options to make it appear again so you can unhide it. That makes this software basically useless, unless you do not want to go through all of that trouble.

Even if you enable "Show Hidden Folders" in Folder Options those that have been hidden with Wise Folder Hider will not show! They remain hidden!

@Not-My-Problem, You are right, Windows can hide files/folders, most people know it, so, others whom use your PC may open your hidden files. But, if you use Wise Folder Hider to hide your files, others may know you have some hidden files, if they don't know your password, they cannot open your hidden files.
