Phone App for these cameras does not work!
Before you purchase these cameras or any other, see what viewing app they use for your phone. These cameras use an app called WiseView which has a terrible rating because it does not work! The cameras themselves take a great video but you can't remotely view them. I've emailed the makers of these cameras, which is Hanwha Tech and not Samsung, they sent me to WiseNet Support who were no help as well. I cannot find a program to even view the cameras from my PC. Basically the only way to view them is while you are at home with whatever monitor/tv they are connected to. BEWARE of any Wisenet product as they seem to have issues with their apps. It's a Nice Name Brand System With Built-In Hard Drive at an Incredible Price
I'm really impressed for what this is for the price. All Samsung and real solid build quality... both the DVR and cameras. I have a lot of experience with CCTV systems. You can't find a better deal. The system does include 4x 50' BNC cables. It's left out of the description for some reason. They are very good cables and are tougher than most cables out there. My cameras and cables were white. It amazes me that they can throw in the hard disk at this price point. Works well with the smart phone app. The desktop app works well also but you have to contact customer support directly and they will e-mail you a download link for the software (Tip). Pretty good for an inexpensive DVR
I bought this to replace a different-brand DVR that broke after a couple years. It was easy for me to hook up because the cameras used the same cables as my old DVR, so I just swapped out the cameras using the existing wiring and connected them to the DVR. The picture quality is good. It doesn't seem as good as the 1080p Arlo Q that I have, but it's close.My only complaints are:1) The substream (low-quality) video feed that the mobile app uses is a very low resolution and you cannot configure it.2) While you can change to a higher-quality stream in the mobile app, it won't remember your setting, so you have to do it every time.3) It takes several seconds for the mobile app to connect with the DVR. Please do your research before buying ANY security camera system. I bought this one after reviewing other comparable models. I will be honest and did learn more towards it being a Samsung product. So far I have been fairly satisfied with it. This is not a simple wireless setup. We already have an Arlo system at our other property, and for it's setup convenience, the wireless system has numerous shortfalls. If you are not comfortable with running long lenghts of wires, having to drill into your building or have limited knowledge of tools I'd either find a different product or find someone qualified to install it. There is also the need to set up the network and adjust the settings for the system. Make sure you have a monitor available for it.My biggest issue with this system is the app for it. There are no push notifications. The closest thing I get for notifications is in my email for motion detection. This security system was recommended by a good friend who has been using it for years. Set up was challenging because of crawling through the attic crawlspace to run wires but connection was fairly easy. It took a little longer to get the system to communicate through email but once we figured out how to get the email settings to allow alerts it is perfect. A email is sent with a picture documenting motion in specific areas of the cameras, which is great when we are away from home. First, the app for my cell does not stay loaded. It will uninstall by itself and then I have to re-install it. Second, When I set a schedule for the "recording" and "alarm" , the recorder and alarm will not fallow schedule.( ie. the motion alarm will still sound off even though I have it off for that particular time.) Finally, when I call customer service for help, it seems they are more worried about, how many calls they can get through, rather tan taking the time to solve my issue. ... Read more...

Very easy to set up but same complaint as others, still have not been able to find a program to use to view the cameras on my laptop. My dvr is located in a closet so attaching the hdmi cable to my laptop is not possible. The app for the phone works great. ... Read more...

High quality picture and easy to wire cameras. Nice features including easy remote p2p viewing and email alert scheduling.
